So its almost halfway over and over 4500 people currently have the requisite 25 points to their name – of course the final testing could still play havoc with a few of them.
A significant change in format this year – previously there was no way to qualify solving just the small input files, solve one problem in full and you are through.
This year there are 4 questions, and you could solve just small input files to get through – indeed I’ve solved them all so baring some catastrophic event there is no way I am not through to round 1. (I also solved the large inputs, we’ll see how the final testing treats those…) Also, the first question isn’t worth enough points to get through.
So I plan on doing a write up tomorrow once it is all finished, but it is looking to be rather a busy day, so it might get delayed…
